Role(s) on this project: creative/art direction, concept development, design, typesetting, production, print production and management.
Created while working with Intent.
Every decade, the Canadian Astronomical Society (CASCA) lays out its vision for the ways in which Canada should invest in the future of astronomy—from small-scale ground-based facilities to large-scale investments in space astronomy. The content and design of this document had to speak clearly and confidently to scientists and astronomers, but also entice a general readership with visual and typographic delight amid the volumes of highly technical information. Over 180 pages, it was designed, typeset and printed for CASCA in English and French. It features data visuals, charts, tables, pull quotes, call-outs, case studies, dynamic footnotes, endnotes and two appendices. Accessible PDF versions were developed and are available online.
