From coast to coast to coast, Aecon is a true Canadian leader in construction and complex infrastructure development. The message for their 2013 annual report needed to convey a company-wide commitment of staying on course and on track to deliver their promise of 9% Adjusted EBITDA margin in 2015. Thus, the 'Onward' theme was proposed and developed throughout the report. As well, to introduce a more human element to the massive organization and highlight their perennial ‘Best Employer’ accreditation, the report showcases mostly imagery of real Aecon people and features their own stories of contribution and achievement—a dramatic departure from the company’s norm of reports and collateral dominated by images of construction projects and heavy machinery.
